About the Data

The editor uses 1,654 census tracts from the 2020 U.S. Census as the smallest paintable unit. Missouri's total population is 6,154,913, giving an ideal district size of about 769,364 people. The dashed blue overlay shows the current enacted congressional district boundaries for reference.

Note: Population values are currently estimated from land area and should be treated as approximate. We are working on integrating exact PL 94-171 census data for accurate redistricting.
